Andrew has been active in the communications and business development fields for the last four years. Most recently he has acted in a sales capacity, tasked with raising revenue and expanding the client list of Seal Best LLC, a paving and sealing company based in West Hartford, Connecticut. While Seal Best’s paving activities are on hiatus in the winter Andrew runs sales for See That Ad, a West Hartford company that aims to service the advertising needs of companies and organizations through a travelling billboard. In addition, Andrew continues to work intermittently in the visual communications field and in 2011 produced campaigns for Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford as well as for Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. From spring to fall 2010, Andrew was co-manager of The Ratigan Art Studio in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. There, Andrew saw to the day-to-day gallery operations, direction of tours and co-management of the gallery’s evening open house events. The frequently outdoor open house events were a feature that was popular and famous in the East Greenwich community in the spring and summer of 2010. Attending Katharine Gibbs School from 2008 to 2009, Andrew earned a technical diploma in Visual Communications. Born in Hartford, he is a native of Connecticut and currently resides in Farmington.
Andrew ventures to combine his past experiences enriching community culture with his business acumen to help CQSCC grow its wealth and donor base. In so doing he aims to enhance CQSCC’s awareness raising capabilities and develop its connection with funding for the medical research and treatment efforts at the UCONN Sickle Cell Disease Center. Andrew additionally aims to assist the creation and development of new avenues of awareness-raising and community education about the nature and effects of sickle cell disease.
